Steve Marcolini – Assistant Coach
Brief info

Steve Marcolini grew up in Georgetown, Ontario, Canada.He played minor hockey in his hometown.His father, Bill was president of the GMHA and his brother Mike also played.At 14 years of age Steve played his first Jr. B games with the Georgetown Gemini’s. The following season he played full time for the Gemini’s.After his full Jr. B season he was drafted to the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL. Steve played three seasons in the OHL and was recruited to St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. He played four years at STFX and was given the honor of being voted captain by his team mates for his senior year.After graduating, Steve went to training camp for the Erie Panthers in the ECHL.He signed with Erie and started the season until a back injury ended his career.Steve returned to his hometown and worked in the family sports store.He coached with the Streets ville Derby Jr. B Hockey Club for one season.Steve has over twenty years of coaching experience in New England and Canada In both lacrosse and hockey.He now resides in Apollo Beach, FL and owns his own sporting goods sales agency.“ I’m looking forward to the opportunity with the IHA and helping guide young athletes to the next level.”
